"When it is dark enough, you can see the stars." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who began my career working with children and families in the foster care system. I progressed to working with individuals outside the foster
care system. I have always loved working with women of all ages; but I especially love working with women facing transitions so common in the young to middle ages because I connect to, relate to and understand the transitions that women face- from college graduation, to job searching, to dating, to self-discovery, to having and raising children, I have been on this journey and I love joining others on their journeys. My personal philosophy is that we suffer the most when we believe that what we need is something outside of us, as opposed to recognizing that everything we need for joy, growth, and self-discovery lies inside of us. So my big question is always- who are you? Or, more specifically, what are your gifts and special talents, what is your purpose, why are you here, what are you offering this world? What seeds are already inside you, aching to grow? And if in doubt, I absolutely love helping women figure these things out! I love these questions.
Because if you were meant to be there, you wouldnt be here... So whats the best that can happen?
In additional to having my clinical license in the state of Georgia, I am also a Certified Enneagram Professional (certified through the IEA, as well as various Enneagram certification programs) and I am a Certified Parenting Coach through Dr. Shefali Tsabary's Conscious Parenting Institute. I utilize all these skills to assist my clients in finding a deeper connection and understanding of themselves, so they can, in return, have a deeper understanding of and connection with others. You can't have one without the other, so why not start with a deeper understanding and love for ourselves?
I bring my intuition and highly sensitive temperament to my work with others. I provide a safe, non-judgmental and compassionate space that allows my clients to delve inside themselves, explore and express their innermost feelings, and to be received with kindness and compassion. I do not "offer advice" or attempt to solve other's problems when they already know how to pay attention to their gut and where to find answers. I seek to listen and to understand. I have faith in my client's ability to uncover their destiny and vision for a life that is full of meaning, depth and beauty, however they see it.
"It is not the length of life, but the depth." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
