"When it is dark enough, you can see the stars." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who began my career working with children and families in the foster care system. I progressed to working with individuals outside the foster care system. I have always loved working with children, families, and individuals; but I especially love working with young to middle-aged women, because I connect to, relate to and understand all the transitions that women face- from college graduation, to job searching, to dating, self-discovery, romantic relationships, children, I have been on this journey and I love joining others on their journeys. My personal philosophy is that we suffer the most when we believe that what we need is something outside of us, as opposed to recognizing that everything we need for joy, growth, and self-discovery lies inside of us.
In additional to having my clinical license in the state of Georgia, I am also a Certified Enneagram Professional (certified through the IEA, as well as various Enneagram certification programs) and I am a Certified Parenting Coach through Dr. Shefali Tsabary's Conscious Parenting Institute. I utilize all these skills to assist my clients in finding a deeper connection and understanding of themselves, so they can, in return, have a deeper understanding of and connection with others.
I bring my intuition and highly sensitive temperament to my work with others. I provide a safe, non-judgmental and compassionate space that allows my clients to delve inside themselves, explore and express their innermost feelings, and to be received with kindness and compassion. I do not "offer advice" or attempt to correct others. I seek to listen and to understand. I have faith in my client's ability to uncover their destiny and vision for a life that is full of meaning, depth and beauty, however they see it.
"It is not the length of life, but the depth." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
Welcome to my practice.
What does it mean to be a conscious parent? Consciousness is a “state of evolution,” and its an ongoing journey towards greater self-awareness and awareness of how our personal history affects our relationships with others, particularly our children.
The Enneagram is a valuable tool for understanding self and others, for empathizing with oneself and others, and for utilizing healthy communication skills and managing conflict. I can provide teaching and training in this area, and also use my knowledge of the Enneagram to assist you in self-understanding and relating to others.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with clinical training and specialization in trauma, I utilize a variety of techniques, which include talk therapy, mindfulness, and other methods that have proven helpful for clients. I also have an extensive knowledge of the Enneagram; and I am a certified Conscious Parenting Coach.
